Frequently Asked Questions
What
is a Professional Organizer?
A Professional Organizer is someone that provides hands-on assistance,
systems, and solutions that enable clients to create a sense of balance
and control. Organizers help you stay focused and on track with your
project and provide you with a plan to guide you through the
organizational process.
Shouldn't I be able to organize on my own?
If you've had clutter/disorganization for a while, it can seem
overwhelming to tackle it on your own. Clearly Organized brings energy
and encouragement to the process. Many people hire various types of
help: a house cleaning service, gardener, an interior designer, a
personal trainer, etc. Why not hire a Professional Organizer?
Will you force me to throw my things away?
No, you don’t have to throw everything away however, it helps if you are
willing to part with things that you no longer need or use. It’s the job
of the Professional Organizer to help you decide what is and isn’t
important to you. We may try to guide you towards a better understanding
of why you’ve been holding on to something and ease you into letting go.
Do I have to be with you during the organizing process?
Yes. It is necessary that we work together when going through your
belongings. Not only can we sort items faster, but you will learn more
about how to maintain your space while we’re working side by side.
How long will it take to get organized?
It’s difficult to gage without
first seeing the space and its contents. It depends on the severity of
the clutter, your time frame, your ability to make decisions, how much
you want to talk about your things, and how many areas you would like
organized.

I'm too embarrassed
to let you see my mess!
People today are overwhelmed with busy jobs, children, and after school
activities etc. Some people are simply too busy. I don't make judgments;
I’m here to help you.
What can I expect
during our first session?
Please keep everything as it is. This will help in figuring out the best
personal solutions for you.
To best serve you during our sessions, (saving you time and money), I
recommend, but do not require that you:
•Limit interruptions, e.g. visitors, phone calls, etc.
•Dress comfortably
•Arrange for child care, or elder care, if needed. You are paying for a
service, and younger children may increase the length of time it takes
to complete our sessions. When organizing your older child's room, it
may be helpful if they are present to offer input - so their room will
be organized in a manner that they can continue to maintain.
Do you bring any containers
or products?
I will bring a few essential supplies for our sessions. I can offer you
suggestions regarding storage supplies and tools for you to purchase,
but I must determine what you might need first.
Are Professional Organizers expensive?
That depends. What is your time worth to you? In as little as three or
four hours, we can sort, order and simplify your space, saving you time
and money. That is money well spent!
Is this a confidential
service?
Yes, it is confidential and judgment-free. |
